Our story

Beauty was the beginning. Opportunity became the mission.

About the founder

A builder of both beauty and opportunity.

My name is Gloria Mary Ezennia, a creative artist focusing on handmade jewellery and cultural embellishments

My journey did not begin in a boardroom, but in the retail shops and markets of Jos, where I worked while funding my education. I am an accountant by training, a graduate of the University of Jos, and currently an MBA candidate at the Roxbourg Institute of Social Entrepreneurship.

However, my most profound lessons were not learned in a classroom. They were learned through the grit of starting a jewelry business with my meager savings, the vulnerability of being a housewife in Lagos with no independent income, and the courage it took to rebuild my life through craftsmanship.

The journey

From survival to leadership.

A personal experience of resilience became the foundation for a business committed to culture, confidence and economic independence.

The Turning Point: Guardian Angels & Global Mindsets

I often say that I am a product of mentorship. During my time with Ardyss International, I met my “guardian angels,” Sharon Riviere and Jean Kimpson. They saw a spark in me that I had not yet fully recognized.

They shifted my mindset from survival to leadership, teaching me that a woman’s confidence is her greatest asset. Because of them, I did not just return to business—I returned with a vision to build an empire.

02

Goeve Emerald Royale: Preserving Culture, Creating Power

What started as a small jewelry collection has blossomed into Goeve Emerald Royale. Today, we provide the full regalia of African identity—from intricate beadwork and ornaments to high-quality fabrics and ready-to-wear chieftaincy attire.

But for me, this is not just about fashion. Every piece we create is a testament to the belief that skill is the only currency that cannot be taken away from a woman. After facing the “Dependency Trap” and the risks of a dangerous job market myself, I realized that my business had a higher calling.

03

My Mission of Responsibility

I do not just run a store; I lead a movement for social inclusion and economic self-reliance. I use my platform to solve the problems I once faced and to ensure that creative talent can become a pathway to dignity and ownership.

I have walked the path of the disadvantaged woman, and I have found the way out. Now, my responsibility is to leave the door open for others to follow.
